Fast Jet Training.
Upon completion of Elementary Flying Training (EFT). Fast Jet pilots will conduct approximately 10 hours further training on the Grob Tutor 115E or Grob Prefect 120TP.
They will then go to RAF Linton-on-Ouse to fly the Tucano. From there they will go to RAF Valley to fly the Hawk. This includes a tactical and weapons phase. This Process lasts just under 2 years. Fast Jet pilots will then go on to an Operational Conversation unit where they will learn to fly either the Typhoon or the Lightening F-35 before joining their front line squadrons in either the Navy or RAF. |
